Vivien of Holloway 1940's dress

SOLD!

vivhol c

Gorgeous 1940's style dress from Vivien of Holloway in perfect black, dark green and white floral print with tiny orange highlights. Padded shoulders, sarong style skirt with swag, and fitted waist. Zips up the side.

It is their size 10, which according to their website is 32/24/36 b/w/h, but it is sadly too big for me and I have found it to come up larger than this. It is also for taller ladies than me, so although I love this dress and the beautiful dark green and orange small floral print, it just doesn't sit on me as it should. They also seem to be sold out online at the moment, too! The measurements I took are:

Measurements

Bust 36
Waist 26
Hips 38

Shoulder to Shoulder 14.5
Shoulder to Waist 16
Length 47

Condition
Excellent – as though it had never been worn; I've only worn it a handful of times.

Price $45

Waa I love that dress but if it doesnt fit you it wont fit me as I reckon we're about the same size. Such a pretty dress though!

Esz: I know! I think you're right, this dress was too big in the shoulders and torso (and waist, but that didn't seem to be the biggest sizing issue for me) length for me, and probably would be be for you too... shame, eh?!

Yes it definitely looks too long! I have one of their 50's dresses and the straps need shortening and the skirt is a touch too long also. Shame indeed!
